7. INSTRUCTIONS

1. Boiling an Egg:

Place the eggs at the bottom of a saucepan. Cover with at least an inch or two of cold water. Heat the pot on high heat and bring the water to a full rolling boil. Adding a teaspoon of vinegar to the water may help keep egg whites from running out if an egg does crack while cooking. Also some people find adding 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the water helps prevent cracking as well as making the eggs easier to peel. Depending on how cooked you like your hard boiled eggs, the eggs should be done perfectly in 10-12 minutes. When ready to eat, peel the egg and enjoy.

2. Making Coffee:

Life without coffee is not worth living. Coffee is humanity's most important source of caffeine, which is basically necessary to get out of bed in the morning. And although freshly ground coffee is preferable, instant coffee will do in a pinch. Boil some water in an electric kettle, then wait for the water to stop simmering. Water above 90°C/194°F will scorch the coffee and destroy its flavor, so it's important to wait for the boiling to stop. Place the instant coffee in the mug. Fill 3/4 of the cup with the boiled water, then stir with a teaspoon until all the instant coffee is dissolved. Fill the remaining 1/4 of the mug with milk or cream, then stir again. If the coffee is too bitter for your taste, either add less instant coffee or add some sugar. You can also add more milk. Adding sugar to coffee can be damaging to a good diet. Many people find that they drop a couple of kilos after they start drinking coffee without sugar.

3. Cleaning Teeth:

Proper brushing takes at least two minutes. To properly brush your teeth, use short, gentle strokes, paying extra attention to the gum-line, hard-to-reach back teeth and areas around fillings, crowns or other restoration. Brush your teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled brush. The size and shape of your brush should fit your mouth allowing you to reach all areas easily. Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush won’t do a good job of cleaning your teeth. Concentrate on thoroughly cleaning each section as follows:
  • Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums. Gently move the brush back and forth in short (tooth-wide) strokes. 
  • Clean the outer surfaces of your upper teeth, then your lower teeth.
  • Clean the inner surfaces of your upper teeth, your lower teeth, then the chewing surfaces of the teeth. To clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, tilt the brush vertically and make several up-and-down strokes.
  • For fresher breath, Brush your tongue to remove bacteria and keep your breath fresh.
4. Making an Omelette:

Omelets are tasty and super-quick to knock together. A simple omelet is delicious and brilliant for breakfast, lunch, or even a quick and light supper with a nice green salad. Once you've perfected this method, you can go on to add different ingredients to your simple omelet to make lots of lovely combinations. Eggs cook quickly, so it is best to select and cut up all of your ingredients prior to cooking. First gather the number of eggs you want to cook; most omelets have 2-4. Next chop your filling into bite-sized pieces. Some common omelet additions include onions, peppers, green onions, spinach, sausage, diced tomatoes and mushrooms. Use any or all of the ingredients, in a combination of your choice.

Crack the eggs one at a time into a bowl. After breaking the eggs, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly to prevent salmonella poisoning. Beat the eggs until the yolks and whites are completely mixed. You can either use a fork or wire whisk to beat the eggs. At this stage you can add salt, pepper, and other herbs and spices to the eggs as well. Heat some butter in the frying pan over medium heat. Pour on the eggs, spreading them evenly with a food turner. Adding a splash of milk or water will help make the eggs a tad fluffy. While the eggs are firm on the bottom, but still slightly runny on top, sprinkle all of the fillings. Continue cooking the omelet until the eggs bubble on top. Flip the omelet. Use a food turner to gently flip the omelet to the other side. Keep cooking for another minute or two, until the omelet is no longer runny. If necessary, you can flip the entire omelet over to cook the top for 30 seconds or so. Just don't let it get brown. Gently transfer the finished omelet to a plate. Garnish with chopped fresh herbs if desired.

Summary : Virginia Adeline Woolf (1882-1941) was an English novelist and essayist, regarded as one of the foremost modernist literary figures of the twentieth century. It was also included in  Death of a Moth  and  Other Essays  in 1942.
